Biography

Dr. Arik Greenberg is a scholar, author, and lecturer on the subject of Religion. An ardent advocate of religious tolerance and interfaith dialogue, he is the founder of the Institute for Religious Tolerance, Peace and Justice.

Arik Greenberg received his Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, California, in 2005. Dr. Greenberg specializes in New Testament and the religions of the Greco-Roman world with a particular focus on the diversity of belief within early Christianity. An aspiring polymath, he has also studied a number of world religions and his academic work bears the footprint of his interfaith background and reflects his desire to foster a model for modern religious tolerance. He currently serves on the faculty of Loyola Marymount University. He is also the founding president of the Institute for Religious Tolerance, Peace and Justice.

In 2018, Dr. Greenberg received the Youth for Human Rights International Award for his dedication to interfaith and social activism.
